you must have overheard my conversation at the bar sometime back. i was talking to a friend about travel show ideas. i said i would love to be part of an honest (as honest as it can be) travel show. something like anthony bourdain’s, but much meaner. if something’s disgusting, you should be able to say it’s disgusting..
we went on to chat about talk shows, and i said, piers morgan should be the new parkinson. if i had the money, i would love to see that happen.
and here i am today, googling piers morgan, and i find this trailer. chances of this series airing in singapore soon are low though i think, if it does at all. oh well… can’t wait to watch it if i have the chance.
i caught the piers bug when i saw celebrity apprentice late last year. (super delayed telecast in singapore) i thought the idea was ridiculous, but got sucked in pretty quickly. i didn’t know who piers was then, but seemed to be on his side every single episode, and became an instant fan. i went on amazon to see if he wrote any books. bought the insider, and started reading it at the pub. if an english friend walked in, i’d always put the book faced down.
-”what ya readin?” he asked one day.
-”ok, i’ll show you, but don’t tell anyone. it’s embarrassing…” i lowered my head and turned it over.
-”for XXXX’s sake, piers morgan???? hahahaha!!!”
-”oh shut up, this is funny XXXX”
few days ago, i turned up with a new book. i slammed it on the bar counter and said “look, i’ve got volume twooo!”
it was ‘Don’t You Know Who I Am.’
so piers, if you ever get to read this,
thank you, for the crack ups.
I have spent a lifetime raising, training & showing Arabian horses. The Dubai Stud is a must see next time you are there. The horses there are exquisite & straight out of ancient history.
The royalty of Dubai & Quatar are very active in the Arabian Horse show world. They compete all over the world & win.
It’s amazing what has come about there in Dubai in such a short time.
you are right i am jealous!!!!!!! i could never get there, i am not one for deep pockets, i envy your ability to travel our beautiful world, wish you could show me the best beautiful places,be my personal travel guide if you will,,,, ha!
