Over to you Susan…
April 23, 2009
Following Susan Boyle’s outstanding performance on Britain’s Got Talent, the previously unknown Scottish songbird is fast becoming a transatlantic phenomenon thanks to YouTube and the international media who have picked up on her story. But it’s not just her budding singing career that’s up for discussion, as interest in her love life, or lack of it, has been making headlines this week too. After being bowled over by a unanimous YES from all three judges, Susan chose to identify a very different type of talent in Piers…the type that clearly tickles the fancy of the 48 year old from West Lothian, who has confessed to having “never being kissed”.
Speaking after the show, Susan described Piers as “very handsome” and said; “up until now I have never met the right man but that maybe will change now I have met Piers”.
Piers’ initial reaction to Susan’s comments was quite literally, “GULP!”, but things warmed up substantially today when Piers posted a video here on his official website, offering to make Susan’s dreams come true… Not to offer her a recording contract, but to invite her to a romantic dinner where who knows…a gentlemanly kiss may even be on the menu?
Could this be a match made in heaven?
Does Piers know what he is doing?
Don’t miss Piers inviting Susan out to dinner in his exclusive video HERE!

Perhaps after dinner you could take Susan to a West End musical and introduce her around backstage - Wicked, Les Misérables, Chicago, A Little Night Music, Sister Act…something she could imagine herself appearing in.
I expect she’s managed to see some musicals before, but probably not from the really good seats.
Perhaps later you could escort her to “Spotlight On… In Conversation With Elaine Paige”. They really should meet each other.

Piers,
Those of us “across the pond” have fallen in love with Susan Boyle too! The YouTube video is been played at least a dozen times in our household and brings tears of joys to the eyes of every family member ages 50+ to 15. In times of economic woes and worldly worries it is a sheer joy to hear her angelic and expressive voice. We can hardly wait to hear her next performance!

Piers is handsome. Susan Boyle has such an angelic and beautiful voice. She accepted his dinner invitation on Larry King Live. Had to watch her on his show and Piers surprised me. She sang a song to Larry without any music in the background. What an amazing sensation. What a story in these economic times. From rags to riches. She really is a beautiful person at heart and Piers just adds more to this Cinderella story. He is the handsome prince!

Hello, Piers,
I am thankful for the opportunity to have seen Susan Boyle on Youtube…otherwise I would have missed her performance. That clip has touched the world; made it a better place.

I, too, love Susan Boyle and her amazing voice. I also saw Piers invite Susan to dinner with him on “Larry King Live” and I hope and pray that he honors that invitation. It would break Susan’s heart if it were nothing more than a publicity stunt. Having read Piers’ history, I am not sure he will honor his invitation.
Best of luck, Susan; you are a sincere, genuine person who deserves the best of everying. And not all because of your voice, either!!!

I have watched the YouTube video of Susan Boyle over and over this past week. I was thrilled when you asked her out on a date on the Larry King Show I was giggling watching your face for her response. Piers, what does your girlfriend think of this date you are taking the lovely Susan on? Of course I think it is wonderful that you are taking her out, but is it just so she can have her first kiss and then that’s it for her? I fear that her heart will be aflutter as what most of us ladies are about you, but to actually dine with you, wine and roses…..I hope she doesn’t get heartbroken. She has taken the USA by storm and we all love her here and wish for her to find true love and are truly rooting for her to do so. We want to see more of the 2 of you, let’s make this show air on a channel so the USA can watch you!! This is too good to keep in your neck of the woods, we are smitten now!! Locke,NY

I am also in the States, in Ohio. I too want to know if there is any way, we, across the pond, can watch BGT? Never cared before but now I really want to see her next performance and not wait for U-tube to have it.
I cannot wait for her to come to America! I am also not young. I am 57 years old. I grew up during the rise of Elvis and saw him in concert (Columbus Ohio and Las Vegas)several times. I remember when the Beatles took us all by storm, but I never heard anything like Susan before. Something is so different about her style. Maybe the emotions she puts into it. Also that sweet little personality she’s got.
Have fun on your date. She’s a true prize, Piers. I never miss an episode of “America’s Got Talent” with you, D.H. and S.O….One of my favorites.

Piers, we have been praying for our dear Susan and now for you. Along with many, we believe she is a unique gift from God, like a grand parable for our time. Now you have been entrusted with a very special place in this. We sense that you have a certain kind of love in your heart for her, but you are perplexed. What is it? What to do? To what extent? Seek the love of God, as in 1 Corinthians 13 in the Bible. Ask Him to lead you in His way of truth, purity, kindness, courage and sacrifice. Know that Jesus loves His people as a bridegroom loves his bride. Follow His way of greatest blessing for Susan and for you, and go no further than the proper place. This is different and greater than anything you have ever experienced before, and you need wisdom beyond your own. The Lord is willing to show you. We are praying for you. Truth Piers,
Would you of asked Susan out for a date before
all of this fame has fallen upon her. Not to be
condenscending but truly Susan’s voice is a
culmination of the angelic tenor of her life.
If you are dating it is not a gentlemanly thing to
do to offer her a date. Does Celia find this all so
amusing. Given, “Is she blind comment.” Is a women’s way of sticking up for herself while eyeing the competition. Truth is you may find Susan to be more than just (not to be rude)
an easy ticket or slight peck with your thin lips as you say but a conversion of your life. You may find out that she is something to be reckoned with
her heart is as sincere and her love is purely unadulterated. A date with Susan may prove to be a conversion of your synical thought processes on love and a true test of your character as a man. Given all this I will pray Susan can enjoy herself and keep her innocence until her true love comes. She need not kiss a frog to find her prince. Because he is not out there as she said. Her prince is God with a voice such as hers. This is my first and last post. We love you Susan!
