Thanks Piers, for the article and kind words about Susan.
I grew up with a learning disability but at the time, students weren’t yet diagnosed as such problems.
I didn’t find out about a head injury suffered as a child of 13 months until I was in my early 60s.
People with learning disabilities struggle their entire lives, trying to be like others and do the things others do, and end up making a muddle of it.
I hope Susan wins as she represents the normal, average, everyday working person.
GOOD LUCK, SUSAN!

I hope we dont punish the show BGT. Susan and others I think were well cared for and knew what was what before they entered. The 10 finalist were all so good. It was hard to choose. Diversity was of course brilliant. The young man who choreographed it all has a future for him for sure. I dont care for street dancing as such but they made me a believer. They added another dimension.
We in the states hope Susan will feel better soon and are glad the pressure is off. We hope the police will do something about the awful media - OMG what a circus there!!
I dont think Susan has the same experiences and frames of references some of us do to cope with such happenings in life. Her crush on Piers is serious to her as it would not be to another person. We hope she gains strength to be herself. We love her, her dress is wonderful. I love the whimsical boas and how she puts it all together. A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!
She has an incredible voice ( to quote Amanda) and we hope she will feel well to record and give it a shot. the world needs more joy, fun, and the simple pleasure of being yourself. That is who we love - her self as she is and God created her to be. Thank you Susan.

come on piers . . what happened to good old fashioned entertainment as we knew it? please did you ever think you would see the day when you would watch a regurgitating nutter, a half naked woman set herself alight, a wooden acrobat on a crapping horse, a guitar playing dog who was just simply embarassed by her owner’s singing, ………….surely none of these acts are worthy of the royal variety performance? where have the proper variety acts gone? i agree with gary bushell on his choice of weekend viewing;
proper family entertainment; IE; joe longthorne, joe pasquali, johnny cassons, jimmy tarbuck, all the ‘proper’ entertainers - they are never on our screens now - any ideas why? This latest bgt is an insult to ours, the viewers, intelligence. How you all have the patience to sit and judge it i really dont know.
