Tried to get a copy here in Maryland, but it’s not available. So I ordered The Insider instead (from Borders) and would love to win God Bless America. I think both would sell well here if they were stocked in the mega-stores like Barnes and Noble and Borders. Found BGT after Susan Boyle’s publicity here and will watch AGT on June 23rd for first time to see how it compares.
As a hospital RN with 30 yrs experience, I thought Susan’s crisis could have been averted with a safe beta-blocker called Inderal (propranolol /generic) in a low dose. It’s non-addictive, not a sedative, and can be used before a performance, a speech, flying, or anything else that causes great anxiety . It’s been around for years and is often used for that purpose, but main use is for high blood pressure or arrhythmia.
Good luck with the book. I’m also an Obama supporter and think he may have the best chance at this time in history to deal effectively with all of the HUGE problems that we (thanks to George) and the world are facing. It will be interesting to read about it from the British perspective…and yours in particular.
