Blunkett, Threesomes and Divas…
August 17, 2009
Piers has been recounting his last week spent in LA and as usual it’s been a mixed bag of highs, lows and offers of kinky sex by a woman calling herself ‘Grandma Lee’…
For those who missed Piers’ sensational column in the Mail on Sunday’s ‘Live Magazine’, the first week of August kicked off with a decidedly enviable Piers driving through Beverly Hills in a beautiful Aston Martin, signing autographs as he went and generally feeling like ‘the jammiest man alive’….it didn’t last long however, check out the link above to find out why…
The rest of the day was spent in rehearsals with Mariah Carey - ’diva’ extraordinaire and wife of new America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon - who dropped by the studio for a meticulously planned performance that saw Piers admire a professional who will “do whatever it takes, however long it takes, to get things as good as they can be”.
Monday was spent trading double entendre’s with I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here host Myleene Klass, and Tuesday saw the aforementioned Grandma Lee entertain the decidedly surreal idea of a David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan threesome…now there’s an image!
The rest of the week was spent managing a fake tan disaster, encountering a grumpy Steve Martin, fending off health conscious Californians and laughing at a very ‘blonde moment’ from Amanda Holden with regards to an encounter with David Blunkett…phew!
Don’t forget, to read all the gossip and stories in full, head HERE now!

Piers,
Did you manage to take in the dismal betrayal of Amanda Holden mocking Susan Boyle on the Alan Carr show that was reported in various media outlets.
I saw the article and now wonder if Amanda was suffering from the dreaded “lack of-attention-syndrome†which can be masked at birth or until attention dwindles or stops. This syndrome is a condition that may cause one to do anything, to anyone, at anytime, at any cost, strictly for attention.
Now that BGT judging has ended for this season, with Piers and Simon on assignments in America while Amanda is stuck in the UK) the cameras and attention have been turned in the direction singing sensation Susan Boyle and perhaps causing the troubled Amanda Holden’s condition to flare up due to one or more of the following Susan Boyle achievements:
1) The recording contract, book deals, movie offers (each worth millions).
2) The high class, high fashion, sophisticated Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot.
3) The NBC, USA nationally televised interview of Susan viewed by millions.
4) The President of USA forced to change his press conference to accommodate Susan’s highly
publicized televised interview.
5) The buzz of Susan’s tour in America this November, which Amanda has strived for years. .
unsuccessfully.
6) Perhaps the fact that Amanda has been left in the dust of the very one she mocked.
Any one of the above may have caused the suffering Amanda’s “lack-of-attention syndrome†to surface as evident of the lame comic stunt attacking Susan.
Both you Piers and Simon should strive to get a handle on the situation by encouraging the troubled Amanda to seek professional help ASAP as she could pull down the ratings and respect of any one affiliated with BGT or AGT. This year’s success of BGT highest ratings ever and AGT highest ratings ever is largely due to the successful, highly respected, Refined Lady named Susan Boyle – NOT the â€vicious viper” Amanda Holden turned out to be!
Susan has done nothing but complement Amanda and her fans will not let this unwarranted attack go unnoticed! The “phony†Amanda Holden will forever be reminded! And We haven’t forgotten CBS either! They have already been contacted.

Piers, as yo well know, we Americans love Susan Boyle. Amanda’s ridicule of Susan on that shoddy little Carr show has left Susan’s fans in a disgruntled state - not good. I would be interested to know if BGT/AGT has a code of ethics for its judges. Get that woman a dictionary and have her look up the word “homage”.

Piers: I am a Londoner expat who has lived in Tacoma Washington for 35 years and really enjoy you and Sharon on AMerica’s Got Talent. I was disappointed, however, when you referred to Tacoma entries for the show as being from Seattle and also made some disparaging remarks about this part of the country. The Pacific Northwest is the next best place weatherwise to England, so you were wrong! How much time do you spend in America, and do you have a home here?

Dear Piers,
The reaction from Susan’s fans about the skit AH did with some dude in London, brought to mind a letter posted on your site April 9. The fan warned you to take care of Susan or you would be kicked in the pants(not his exact words)… 30 million times. How will Amanda survive over 350 millions punts in the buns?

Dear Mr Morgan:
I think that after your burger king ad, you are guilty of waking up many women’s imagination. Now Amanda mocking Susan, Katie Price showing you her best assets. Grandma Lee is dreaming about her Final Fantasy with you. How long is your waiting list?
PS Piersy Baby you are too sexy, that is your real problem.

Well said Faye, Donnie, Mae, Mae
I saw the video on You Tube. I wish I had not. I can’t believe she did that. For what? Makes me so sad. It looks like she is another person, not the one who liked Susan.
And what about the video of her talking about the damage of bullying. All fake! What’s wrong with her.
Really cruel!

I, too, will write to CBS. I will never watch the Early Show, neither BGT if she is on those shows.
Hoping both CBS and BGT producers have ethics and that they will react on that. It’s unacceptable.

Mr. Morgan:
Be careful with that “older vintage” remark. YOU may get placed in the same category, since nowadays Susan Boyle, without benefit of botox or surgery, looks younger than you!
And, related to Ms. Boyle, do you really want to sit on the same panel with a judge who would publicly mock & degrade a former BGT contestant just as that person was beginning her career? Mr. Cowell is in the awkward position of having to deal with an employee (Holden) who has publicly insulted one of his more important clients, Ms. Boyle. In normal business, the employee would be out the door, but perhaps there’s no such thing as an ethics clause in entertainment.
Please tell Mr. Cowell that, although we are in a frenzy waiting for a CD or at least a single from Susan, we promise not to hack into his computers.

Very well said, Faye, regarding your first post. I couldn’t have said it better.
Piers, I know this situation has nothing to do with you but we all know you have an emotional connection to Susan. So, please take a moment out of your busy schedule to give Simon and Susan a call. Your insight would be of importance beings you share the judging panel with Amanda and you have been huge supporter of Susan. Which I am grateful to you. If it weren’t for you backing her up things could have been so much harder for her, perhaps.
You both may think this will all blow over and all will be well. Well, I for one am not going to push this to the back burner to be forgotten. If Amanda appears on any TV program I will NOT be watching. She needs to personally apologize to Susan for all to see. Just saying so won’t be enough. The message on this particular situation is all about ethics and morals. Which is obvious Amanda Holden is lacking and has caused her true colors to surface. Not very appealing.
I have really grown to like both you and Simon over the last several months. You both seem to want to do the right thing regarding Susan and I highly respect you both. I’m not sure if Simon is doing any damage control this time around. Or BGT for that matter. I’m not sure who needs to step up to the plate. I sincerely hope that one of them are taking this seriously.
I voiced my concerns all over the net hoping to make a difference.
Ok, I have said my peace. Not much else for me to do.
Take care, Piers.

Piers, It’s Teri. From L.A
Everyone knows how fond you are of Susan. You cannot escape it. If you know old Hollywood romances, there are many that began as this (possible) one…like Garland and director, Vincent MInelli, and also Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor- they met via “work”– all were involved with others- but they made great couples and it worked out….I think you should take a second look at Miss Boyle. She is looking lovely these days, and is accompanied DAY and NIGHT by a young man “body guard”– he is way younger than you are. Just sayin…

I have been an avid watcher on BGT on YouTube for 3 years. But I too will never watch it again if BGT chooses to keep Amanda on as a judge.
Amanda not only demeaned herself and Susan, but the image/ the emotional / ethical feel of BGT.
It would upset me emotionally to listen to her, knowing anything positive she says to a contestant from here on in is completely untrustworthy. And it would violate my ethics, as I would be condoning this ever emerging galloping bully culture.
If it was an out-of-charactor mistake on her part, it is too bad she never offered a contrite full-hearted apology to Susan, fans, and BGT. Everyone makes, understands, (and most forgive) mistakes that we learn from.
But even if she is as pleased with herself as she seemed on the Carr Show, she should have apoligised from the role of judge, and it speaks volumes that BGT has made no statement to distance itself from what she did.

Amanda Holden’s true colours has emerged. I thought she is a nice lady. After her jealousy towards Piers has been revealed and her cheap stunt to humiliate Susan Boyle, she has shown herself to be lower than the gum on anyone’s shoes. She is a public figure and has betrayed the trust and respect of the British public for her. She should resign her role as judge and publicly apologise to Susan Boyle.
