Americans want everyone to succeed. It is part of the national psyche. The more people do well the better it is for all of us.Will not award bad performance, but pulling for everyone to do well.

You do a great job as a judge Piersy. I want someone who isn’t afraid to tell the truth so we can get the delusional one’s off the stage and find the good one’s. However, putting a light bulb eater and a man who drills holes in his head through to any level was a lot delusional on the judges part in AGT.
Looking forward to the best gal of all in America, Susan Boyle!

OK, Piers, but what do you mean by “polite”? In a way, it sounds like you think Americans are negative and brutal in their hearts but present an accepting front in order to be polite. That’s not the way it is at all!

Americans say what they think, and most of the time it comes out in a positive way because most of the time we focus on the positive! If we don’t like something, we’re not fake about it, and we will say what we don’t like, but yes, it’s the culture, and most of the time, WE LIKE. I think in the UK, again it’s the culture, it’s much more cool to be negative! (Unfortunately, I think the US is headed in that direction and will be catching up with you on that sooner or later…)

If by “polite” you mean that we’re more quiet and respectful of a performer while she is singing, though, I believe that, at least for older audiences, you are right.

Love your website, Piers. I admire you! (And I’m not just being polite! LOL)

Sorry, But I do feel that American talent shows should have only American judges. A lot of British folks don’t get American culture especially the prissy ones like Piers.

I disagree with Tonya Harding. I think it’s great to have a couple of British judges like Piers and Sharon who have experience in judging people. Plus, I think you, Piers, have been exceptional in your judging. At least, I’ve agreed with your decisions 100%!! Keep it up. And I don’t think you’re prissy at all. I think you’re quite sexy!

    Dear Mr Morgan:

I think that culture has nothing to do with talent. I am sure that every country in the world has similar talents. It is very interesting how you can judge from your experiences not only the entertainers but the audience behaviour as well.

I love your job, but I could never be a judge, everybody would end up crying at the end, since many people think that the only talent I got is a razor in my tongue. Even when I try to be nice and polite many people find it offensive. I am still trying to work it out. Maybe I should give up my writing since my intentions are not to hurt anybody’s feelings.

Sorry about my English mistakes but my translator is not working today! English is not my talent but I love it!

PS: I believe in miracles where are you from you sexy prissy thing! hahaha

Thank you, Piers, for being so accurately honest in your critique of contestants. I admire honesty and the confidence in being honest that you have. One should never give false compliments just for the sake of sparing feelings. Everyone wants to win, so why sugarcoat the truth to make everyone happy? Afterall, there will only be one winner.

I think you are quite right with everything you do and say for AGT. Who do you think will win it all?? I know you like Kevin, and I do too but don’t you think the talent is unremarkable this year?? I think judging would be brutal, and for the stakes in the end it takes someone like you to judge correctly and sincerely.I only wish I had a talent so I could meet you!!!!!!! I am a huge fan!!!!

Hello Piers!I really love you and I believe that your opnion is the best!I prefer Britain much more than America. For example,in America’s Got Talent,David Hasselhof is always so positive and he tells only good things. You,tell the truth. You ar honest. The prize is big,one million dollars and it’s very important. You can’t give it to someone who’s only funny.Britain 4 ever…

I brought The Insider some time ago, and did not know who you were, i read the book, and can honestly say what a great read, i then went on to buy Don’t you know who i am, and then god bless america, i like your style of writing and feel like i know you as a friend now lol. I prefer britain’s got talent, although enjoy both shows, i think i like to see you sing “Jump in my car” though on the next show lol :)

I think both are similar, but it is the judges ‘play’ different roles. Who would have thought that a 80’s TV has-been could be likeable as a judge. David H is entertaining to watch. he is always so positive and supportive. Mind you, he should stick to judging as his song and dance number was..well..okay it was funny. That’s about it.

Sharon is the best. She is a pro through and through and it shows. I don’t always agree with her, but she is the one people respect.

I like you piers, but you play/act a diff role on AGT than on BGT. Your shtick about having to X anything - cute kids and dogs is wearing thin. You aren’t Simon COxwell. I like you much better on BGT.

I just watched Susan sing Wild Horses, it’s was as expected wonderful. However, who on earth did her hair?. Are there no decent beauticians in Hollywood.
Those harsh lines are not a good look for her.
Susan nees a soft look about her face. She should bring her own hairdresser from the U.K. they did it just fine over there. I had to vent over this.

What i would like to know is when they will have a Canadas got talent ? We too have talented people and no one is making a show for them although half of the talent seen in vegas is canadian , i.e. celine and cirque du soliel and im sure there are others. With the popularity of canadian shows in Britain at this time i think you could even market it in that country also. I would love to see the reactions of the judges when they meet up with some of our talented people.

I watched Piers with Hoda last week.Wow, Hoda is a 45 year old spinster
Piers is 44 and Susan is 48 and Simon is 50 .
    None of them are married.
So why is only Susan’s age and single status constantly mentioned by Piers ?
It’s becoming a fixation with Piers.

I’ve lived stateside for 40 years and I couldn’t agree with you more. Now, you have the high and lows to toss out on either side of the spectrum, but the average is exactly as you say it.

Wear a new shirt and see a mate, in the UK if it wasn’t nice/flattering a mate might say, hope you didn’t pay for that. Americans would let you wear something ridiculous and not say anything out of fear of upsetting anyone. God forbid a male would tell another male his zipper is open. I think in England they’d tell ya. More sure of their sexuality on your side of the pond.
